Introduction to Firearms Class

 On June 21st our Sportswomen will be hosting an Introduction to Firearms class at the Club starting at 6:00 pm.    This class does not take the place of the 16-hour pistol permit course required by NYS,  nor can it be used as credit towards that course.  The focus will be to introduce you to various types of firearms, how they work, safe handling, operation, and storage, fundamentals of shooting, and legal considerations of owning/using a firearm.  This class will be followed up with a live-fire range day held at the Club starting at 12pm Sunday July 16th.  We will hold an afternoon break including a Potluck Luncheon/picnic – bring a dish/snack to pass.

 

In order to ensure adequate class space, materials, and instructors to accommodate all participants, we ask that you sign up in advance by calling Jenn at 716-860-1077 by June 15th.  $20 pp suggested donation for this class.

Since August 2021 the Sportswomen of Springville Field and Stream  have been meeting the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm.  The committee is 100% female organized and led offering women opportunities to learn and actively participate in women only activities with instruction by qualified instructors and leadership.

 Any female age 18 and over interested in firearms training,  pistol permit classes, hunter education, fishing, trap shooting, archery and any other outdoor activities is welcome to join.  This group is open to women from within our community and the surrounding area.  Kids with Moms Welcome too!
